Airport construction

Airport construction includes the purchase of aircraft and other air transportation tools and the construction activities of airports and navigation facilities, as well as other work related to them. Air transportation can greatly shorten the ground distance, save transportation time, and help expand foreign communications, economic and cultural exchanges. Since the founding of the country, China aviation and airport construction has developed rapidly, with more than 180 air routes and a total length of more than 200,000 kilometers. Domestic routes reach more than 90 large and medium-sized cities, basically forming a national air transportation network centered on Beijing; international routes have reached more than 20 cities on 5 continents, and established business contacts with airlines from more than 180 countries and regions.

The development direction of aviation airport construction is: to accelerate the upgrading of civil aircraft, phase out old aircraft, add large new aircraft, transform and improve existing domestic aircraft; build and expand airports, and gradually enable airports in main routes and major tourist city available to land at least medium-sized aircraft, transform airports in important cities into super one with advanced technology; accelerate the modernization of air traffic control at all airports; establish complete communication, navigation and meteorological systems, and use electronic computer technology to improve the technology of ground facilities.
